“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)
It is in those really, difficult times that our faith can be tested. In those moments when it seems like no one understands or even notices our hurts, pains, and struggles. The tears come and are shed without a response. The silence is unbearable and the lack of reply only adds onto the isolation.
We search and search and wait in hopeful expectation that someone; anyone would see our need and would reach out—all we need is a little compassion.
We are never, ever alone, dear friends. He sees everything and is responding in His way, in His timing—just know that; really know that and wait in hopeful expectation of His gentle touch.
“Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.” (Psalm 139:8)
He sees our tears, “You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.” (Psalm 56:8- New Living Translation)
So as we wait, read and re-read such scriptures, let us write them on our hearts.
And pray; share with Him everything. He already knows anyway. “O LORD, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.” (Psalm 139:1 & 2) Ask Him for comfort, peace, even joy; ask Him for healing and restoration; ask Him for kindness, compassion, and encouragement; ask Him whatever the need and wait and watch…. He never fails and is always faithful!
Then our prayers are heard and answered ….
…and peace is found even though the circumstance is crazy,
…healing takes place,
…notes of encouragement are received,
…prayers will be said on our behalf,
…and we stand amazed by our Abba, Father and our faith soars!
Dear Heavenly and Gracious Father,
I pray, Jesus, for those who are hurting and struggling. Those who are going through some very difficult things and are utterly lonely, feeling like there is no one that can relate, no one to help. Let us all fix our eyes on You and You alone! For You know Lord, You know each and every single one of us. You know our circumstances, our fears, our struggles our hurts. And You are right there in the midst of it all and will show us Your love in real and tangible ways. You never fail us Lord! I pray, Lord that You would open our eyes to those around us and help us to see what You see. Help us to pursue Your gentle whisper and respond to those around us; let us be Your hands and feet. And as we serve, we will proclaim Your glory! All these things are prayed in Your Son’s holy and precious name. Amen.
