{Faith} Let it Go.

By: Mandy Hill

Don’t worry, this post has nothing to do with the fantastically overplayed song from Disney’s ‘Frozen’!

I saw a quote on a friend’s facebook recently that said this:
“You will find that it is necessary to let things go, simply for the reason that they are heavy!” –C. JoyBell C.

It reminded me of this scripture:
Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain. (‭Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭14-16‬)

Are you carrying around ‘heavy’ things, my friend? Are you holding onto anger, bitterness, resentment, worry or fear? Sister, may I urge you, please don’t cross over into a new year holding on to heavy burdens. If there is something you must do, ask for forgiveness, forgive, let go of hurts, anger, worry or fear; please do it!

Holding on to such things will only weigh you down and cause you to grumble. Let go of them all and cross over into a fresh new year both blameless and pure. Shine like a star in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life.

Let it go; and be free.

Father God, thank You. Today’s message is simple; we know we need to let things go, please help us with this. Sometimes our pride and selfishness gets in the way of truly living free in You. We want to be free in You, Jesus. I need help. They need help. In Jesus name, amen.
