About Mandy:
Founder; Lead Writer & Speaker

Mandy is the founder of the ministry blog ‘We are His daughters’ and thoroughly enjoys writing and providing leadership to this ministry. Mandy is an imperfect work in progress! She loves the Lord with her whole heart and counts it her biggest privilege to serve Him in ministry however He leads. Born and raised in Nova Scotia, she now resides in southern Ontario with her family. She has been married to her handsome husband Nathan for 10 years and together they have served in ministry for the entirety of their marriage. Nathan & Mandy have four beautiful children; Benjamin, Sophia; Spencer & Grayson. Mandy is passionate about singing, worship leading and music. She loves reading, writing, taking pictures, studying the bible and sipping salted caramel mocha’s at Starbucks while chatting with a friend! She strives to be tidier, more organized (yes, she is a little compulsive!), a little more Martha Stewart-esque, and a little less ‘unglued’. Most of all she seeks to be holier and to love God through serving her family and her community.

About Nathan:

Nathan is a husband to Mandy, and Daddy to Ben (6) Sophia (5), Spencer (3) and Grayson (1). Nathan grew up in Nova Scotia but currently resides in Southern Ontario where he is the youth pastor at a local church. He has a B.Sc with first class hours in Microbiology and Immunology from Dalhousie University and a M.Div from Acadia University where he obtained the silver medal in theology. He enjoys reading, writing, teaching and watching legal/crime dramas with his wife on Netflix.

About Megan:

Megan loves Jesus and is passionate about sharing His love with others. She loves to write and encourage other women to be bold in their faith. God has recently given her a burning desire to minister to teens to ensure they know their value in who He has created them to be.
She has been a Christian for as long as she can remember but strayed away from living a lifestyle that represented Him well. She is forever grateful for His grace and mercy and endless pursuit of her heart, and hopes that her writing will encourage others to press forward in His grace. Megan has been married to Chris for 10 years and has 2 awesome children, Graycie and Colt.

About Sarah:

Sarah is honored to be apart of We Are His Daughters writing team! She is head overs heels in love with her husband Chris! They have been working in ministry together for the last seven years. She is grateful to have a husband who is incredibly smart, patient, kind and who helps her fix her grammatical errors each week. She is the proud Mom of two energetic and determined little kids! She has a strong desire to see women discover their spiritual giftings and confidently walk in their life’s calling! She loves quietly cooking in the kitchen and jogging while having Lecrae blasting through her headphones.

About Cindy:

Cindy is a daughter of the great I Am; the one ‘who is, and who was, and who is to come’. A true county girl, she has lived most of her life in the small towns of southwestern Ontario. Cindy has been married to the man God handpicked for her for 20 years. They have two amazing identical twin daughters that were hand delivered by God. Just recently Cindy has officially become a stay at home, homeschooling Mom. And even more recently has been obedient to the call of fostering. She has a passion for speaking and is dedicated to the youth ministry at her home church. Cindy is honoured to be a part of, “We Are His Daughters” and counts her friendship with Mandy as one of God’s richest blessings.

About Stacy:

Stacy is a sign language interpreter from Virginia Beach, Virginia. She also does photography on the side. She serves with Proverbs 31 Ministries Online Bible Studies as a member of the teaching team and as the conference community team leader. She loves to read and write and spend time with her family and friends. Her goal each day is to find practical ways to love others and considers her day a success if she has made at least one person smile.

About Melissa:

Melissa is so excited to join the WAHD team. She lives way down south in Louisiana where the weather is warm and the food is great. Melissa is married to the love of her life, Eric, and has three precious children. Melissa is the current Kindergarten and 1st grade Minister at Istrouma Baptist Church and is active in the collegiate ministry. She has a deep passion for Jesus and longs for all believers to truly believe in the power of God’s Word. In her free time you can find her reading, watching movies and running around outdoors with my family.

About Doretta:

Doretta Zinck is a freelance artist from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Doretta is a Registered Professional Counselor and also teaches young adult Bible Studies. Her passion is to encourage people in their journey with Christ.

About Gaye:
Prayer Team

Gaye is a wife of forty eight years to her wonderful husband Gerry, a mom to three much loved grown kids, one great daughter-in-law, and two wonderful son’s-in-law. She is a very blessed ‘Amma’ (grandma) to nine wonderful grandkids. She loves having a house full of people.
Gaye says: “Even though I am seventy years old, I am still amazed at God’s love for me and feel privileged to learn more about Him every day. I believe God is not finished with me yet, and am excited to see where He will take me next.”

About Monique:

Monique is a coffee-loving, Friends-quoting, Jesus-loving lady. Born and raised in Essex County, Ontario, she has been married to her hubby Jeff for 8 years. Jeff and Monique have three beautiful children; Joshua (6), Matthew (4), and Breanna (2). Monique serves her family first as a stay-at-home Mommy and she also serves her local church in various ways. She enjoys scrapbooking, baking delicious goodies and did I mention….coffee?! If she’s not caring for one of the above, you can find her obsessing over keeping everything organized and tidy.

About Katie:

This is Katie Brisco. She is 23 years old and lives in College Station, Texas. Her parents are happily married 25 years, she has a sister who is married and they have a beautiful baby girl named Kynlee Grace. She also has 2 Fur baby Schnauzers: Oakley and Dolce. She is getting married on November 14,2015. Her occupation is a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher and she owns her own crafting business. She loves the Lord with all her heart and strives to serve Him and others as best she can. In 2013, she was a student at Cowboys With A Mission in Wyoming getting her Discipleship Training School certificate. She spent 4 months in training and growing on a ranch and then spent 2 and half months in Costa Rica on outreach. Her favorite things are coffee, crafting, working out, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and sports. Her day starts when she has had her Coffee with Jesus which fuels her for the day the Lord has prepared for her. She also enjoys interceding for others and praying the Lord’s favor and guidance upon them. She’s a Prayer Warrior!

About Carol:
Prayer Team

Carol Slauenwhite’s love for the Lord has taken her to Africa as a missionary, to 7 churches as a pastor’s wife and to the District Office as a Superintendent’s wife. Her love for God, His church and for the ministry has been her passion. She Learned very early in ministry that it isn’t what you do for God that counts the most but “knowing” Him is what really matters. The Lord has blessed her with a wonderful husband, 2 precious children, a beautiful daughter-in-love and 3 amazing grandchildren.

About Lauren:

Lauren is a 17 year old girl, currently finishing up her senior year of high school. She has been homeschooled her whole life, and was raised in a loving, Christian home. She enjoys volunteering at her local church in many different ways, including teaching Sunday school, and participating in the youth band. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with friends, listening to music, and you can often times find her snuggled in a chair with a cozy blanket, hot tea, and great book in hand!

He has lived in Halifax, Nova Scotia for his whole life, and both works and attends a local church in the city. He loves the city of Toronto, the Toronto Blue Jays, and lazy Sunday afternoons! You’ll never find him without a cup of black coffee by his side, or a song on his lips!
